Tyson Warren Joins Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch as Director of Operations

Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch announced the appointment of its new Director of Operations, Tyson Warren. In this role, Warren will oversee all aspects of Food & Beverage, Security, Guest Services, Front Desk and Housekeeping. A member of the Hyatt family since 1999, Warren joins the award-winning St. Louis team from Hyatt Regency Sacramento, where he served as Food & Beverage Director, overseeing all F&B initiatives for the hotel’s 500 rooms, two restaurants, Starbucks franchise, and 33,000 sq. ft. banquet space. In 2013, Warren was named Hyatt's Food & Beverage Director of the Year for mid-sized hotels.

Under the leadership of General Manager, Joe Hindsley, Tyson will oversee strategic operations for the hotel. A main focus of his role will be developing and executing a strategic plan to ensure that all operations follow Hyatt Regency standards and exceed guests' expectations. With a focus on service and increasing brand loyalty, Tyson will work towards elevating operational efficiencies while also bringing creative touches and experiences for guests throughout the property.

 

Tyson first joined Hyatt Hotels in 1999 as the Food & Beverage Manager of Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport and within a year was promoted to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, where he held numerous F&B positions. His attention to detail, business-minded approach, and ability to evoke the trust, respect and cooperation of his colleagues led to several other successful ventures within Hyatt including Assistant Food & Beverage Director at Hyatt Regency Dearborn (2005 – 2007), Assistant Food & Beverage Director at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill (2007 – 2008), Executive Assistant Manager, Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Regency Morristown (2008 – 2010), and most recently Executive Assistant Manager, Director of Food and Beverage at Hyatt Regency Sacramento (2010 – 2014).

 

A Melbourne, Florida native, Tyson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Food Service Administration from Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. He was the recipient of a football scholarship and served as the four-year start left tackle and was a three-time All-Conference Player.

 

“In football, strategy cannot exist without teamwork and vice versa,” says Tyson. “My early football years really prepared me for the career in hospitality that followed. It taught me discipline, grit, and the importance of team. This has been my philosophy while at Hyatt Hotels and I’m humbled that they continue to value this approach. I’m excited to bring all my years of learning to St. Louis, and look forward to working alongside some of the brightest minds in hospitality there.”
